ACRI Introduces New Professional Course for Post Graduates (PGDCR, recognized by the University of Mysore)

Inauguration Highlights

Avigna Clinical Research Institute (ACRI), a part of Avigna Learning Academy, announced its new course – Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research and Clinical Data Management (PGDCRCDM), for aspiring postgraduates of life science, health science and pharmacy. Recognized by Mysore University, the course is designed keeping in focus the growth prospects of the pharmaceutical industry in the near future and the favourable career opportunities in pharmaceutical companies and research organizations, which are expected to arise from the industry boom.

“This newly introduced PGDCRCDM course at ACRI is a great launch pad for life science, health science and Pharma postgraduates to realize their career goals. ACRI specializes in training students in the clinical research field and imparts necessary technical skills as well as soft skills to make students competent in corporate setting. Moreover, ACRI placement division provides internships for good industrial exposure and strives to place the students in reputed companies and organizations,” said Mrs. Anuradha Ramachandran, Director, Avigna Learning Academy, during the inaugural ceremony

Mr. Venkatesh Prasad, Assistant Professor from PES College of Pharmacy and Mrs. Nandini Vijay Simha, Sr.HR Manager from MMSH were the chief guests for the inaugural ceremony. They lit the inaugural lamp with Anuradha Ramachandran, the Director of ACRI.

Academicians and specialists from pharmacy colleges and companies including Mr. Venkatesh Prasad from PES college of Pharmacy, Mr. Swamy Rudramurthy from MMSH and Mr. Francis Michael from Agila Speciality Pvt. Ltd. shared their insights about the gap between academics and clinical research industry, expectations of the industry from job seekers and the career options for students from various academic streams in the clinical research industry.

Sushmita Ramesh Malali , an alumni of ACRI shared her experiences as a student of ACRI and the role ACRI played in her successful career.

Classes for PGDCRCDM at ACRI will begin this September with a two-week orientation program in August. The course offers seven months on-campus curriculum and three months compulsory internship program at reputed companies in the industry.
